Mathias Vinther, PhD
Partner and Co-head of Public Equity Strategy, Forbion

Mathias Vinther is a Partner at Forbion and co-head of the firm’s public equity strategy.

Since joining Forbion in 2016, he has led and supported several private growth and public-market investments, including the fund’s investments in VOR Bio, Astria Therapeutics, and RAPT Therapeutics.

Prior to joining Forbion, Mathias was with Novo Holdings, where he was involved in investments that subsequently resulted in successful acquisitions, including Therachon (Pfizer), NBE Therapeutics (Boehringer Ingelheim), and Yellow Jersey Therapeutics (Numab/Johnson & Johnson), as well as successful NASDAQ IPOs for Pharvaris and Inventiva.

Mathias holds a PhD in Nanomedicine from Aarhus University, where his research focused on immunotherapy and drug delivery. During his studies, he spent time at the University of California, Berkeley, and Harvard Medical School.
